I got cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, and sweet peppers in. Yup transplants ...I forgot mine outside when "hardening off" and hardened them dead...
first time in my life..oh well...Ben made me some cutworm bands...AND I remembered to use them!
Now I have to put in another bed because I have no empty, unplanned spots! I set up a 4x6 bed and have peat moss for it..will get the rest next payday. It is for warm weather and herbs so no problem waiting. My frost date isn't till the 3rd.
My oops square.....well I wasn't paying attention to my planting chart...
was enjoying just planting....
Forgot I had parisian carrots planted...
Now I will have carrots with the peppers
Oh..the bricks are to keep the kitties from using it for a litter box....
I am going to plant tomatoes tomorrow. Just to get them in the dirt. I got Cherokee purple and red beefsteak at wally world yesterday. Both heirloom type. I will put them in buckets by the 4x4 beds.
I also picked up some gourmet variety leaf lettuce. For the simple fact I am ready for salad rofl.... Mine is no were near big! I think a couple might have their first "real" leafs.
It was so peaceful out there today. I was just planting away lol...
I have the Nasturtiums and the Calendula growing in the house. Maybe I won't harden them dead!
